The Ridgeway Practice is one of 41 doctors' practices serving the city of Plymouth and the largest in South & West Devon. We have surgeries on three separate sites and care for around 14,700 patients. The practice team consists of 10 doctors, a nursing team comprising practice nurses and healthcare assistants, a dispenser and a support team of receptionists, secretaries and administrators.

We provide a full range of medical services including on-site minor surgery. We also provide care for patients in a number of local nursing homes and residential care homes. Some of our GPs work out of hours for Devon Doctors, and one of our GPs is the club doctor of Plymouth Argyle Football Club. Two of our GPs also work for the local Primary Care Trust as GPs with special interests, one with musculo-skeletal problems and the other with dermatology.
We train a GP Registrar at Chaddlewood Surgery and currently provide a placement for a Foundation Stage 2 doctor at Plympton Health Centre.
All members of the primary care team undertake regular training in order to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare.
